November Dark Moon Goddess: Kali

Every month at the time of the dark moon, we will be choosing a new goddess to work with at the studio. For November, we will be honoring goddess Kali! Kali, aka the Dark Mother, is the Hindu Goddess of time, destruction, transformation, and revolution.

"The old must be released so that the new can enter."

"Many women who chose to speak out against injustice and who campaign for protection of the vulnerable are portrayed as witches, bitches, hags, and sluts. They are branded as too wild and too outspoken. In many ways, they are made to look like Kali by those who are threatened by their message and their actions."

"If you find your hopes and dreams have been crushed, Kali can change the cycle and produce life out of nothingness. Where there is sorrow, She dances to bring joy. Where there is fear, She dances to give courage. Join the dance and enjoy the remarkable journey of life!"

Kali coincides with this season of autumn, where the natural cycle of death inevitably leads to a rebirth come spring. But for now: What do you need to release? What change are you ready to make in your life? What outdated models must be revolutionized?

We will be exploring these concepts in many of our classes throughout the next month, so if you are a client at the studio and haven't already, be sure to join our Facebook group where we will be posting more!

Please also feel free to bring any offerings or messages for Kali to leave on the Minx + Muse altar! We will have a bowl to place any written intentions or invocations, which we will ceremonially burn at the end of the moon cycle!

And if you have a personal relationship with Kali and would like to share your knowledge and/or contribute to honoring this goddess at the studio, please contact us with your thoughts or suggestions!
