Becoming a Sensual Witch

When I found sensual dance in 2013, it changed my whole damn life. I had always wanted to feel connected with my body, to feel sexy, to feel pleasure and desirable in my own skin. You know, feel like a WOMAN! But it was so elusive. I was disconnected from my sexuality. I thought it was a “look” or some kind of performative thing for others. I KNEW there was something missing. That there was a “feminine feelin’ myself” vibe that I wanted to connect with so badly, but I just didn’t know how.

I tried the diets, clothes, makeup, dating, and meaningless sex… trying to look the part or have someone else make me feel the part. But real talk: it’s not a part, or a character we play. It’s a way of being, and FEELING! When I started my sensual dance journey, I finally learned how sexy FELT, and it was just for me, in my perfectly imperfect body, often times just wearing a tshirt and ponytail. And here’s the thing: once you learn how to feel sexy, and experience it independent of others, that shit is yours, and no one can steal or shame it from you.

Sounds hella dramatic, but this energy is LEGIT!
Notice I said the word “feel” a lot?! It’s because it’s not something you can read your way through and simply understand. You gotta do the thing, experience the thing, go through the emotions of the thing, and this will ultimately allow you to embody the damn thing!
Does this make sense?!
I share all this because I know so many of us have been there, and because it was a struggle bus for me for so long, and now that I’m off that bus, I want others off the bus with me!
Which is why I opened Minx + Muse in the first place, and why I created our Esoerotic dance experiences, starting with our 3-week “Intro to Esoeroticism” series. This experience is so much more than just learning to do cool dance things. I mean, we learn cool dance things, but it’s SO BEYOND that! It’s all the things I mentioned above mixed with magickal teachings so you leave understanding how Esoeroticism is literally a form of magick that allows us to reclaim our sexual soveriegnty!
